Patty is the middle of 5 - and humorously known as the ‘middle child’.

She was one, growing up, that you could find outside ALL.THE.TIME! Patty worked alongside her father, Jerome “Red”, as much as she could. Driving tractors, helping with the livestock or delivering seed corn. Upon graduating from Kishwaukee College - Patty worked for Hintzsche Feeds, a division of Hintzsche Companies, for 27 years where she managed the feed mill. She does this alongside of helping on the produce farm. 

Patty and her husband, Jeff have two grown children, Nick and Jackie. As a family, they farm in the Sandwich-Serena area and have a small cow-calf herd.

Kate has a passion for growing from seed to final harvest. She is in charge of starting all plants, and growing transplants for the fields. Her growing include tomatoes, peppers, Cole crops, vine crops and cut flowers to name a few. She is in charge of all cut flower production and creates beautiful planters and hanging baskets for the greenhouse. 

Kate and her husband Troy Mish live in Maple Park where they have raised their sons Adam and Nick. 

Joe is the youngest and only boy! Growing up Joe could always be found tinkering with something that ran – it started with remote control cars, then ATV’s and Snowmobiles to trucks with diesel engines and everything in between. Upon graduating with honors in Diesel Mechanics, Joe returned to the farm to help Mom. 

Joe and his wife, Amie have 3 girls, Elizabeth, Caroline and Jolene, which are all very active around the farm. They will be the next generation of Wiltse Farmers and Growers.

Troy Mish is Kate’s husband and also is owner-operator of Wiltse’s Landscaping & Lawncare. Troy has over 34 years of landscaping and lawn care experience from fertilizer sales to designing and installation of all types of landscape including brickwork and water features. Prior to starting the landscaping  business, Troy maintained the turf of Lambeau Field for Green Bay Packers and NASCAR in Joliet.


Kate and Troy met when Kate was in high school at a friend’s gathering in St. Charles – a few years later they crossed paths again and married in 2007. Troy who grew up in the St. Charles area, raised, along with Kate’s help, 2 sons – Adam and Nick.
